HI, I'M DEJI NEHAN
I am Deji Nehan and I have been in tech since the year 2000 when I first qualified for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), which was a big deal, then I got qualified for a Microsoft Certified Professional. So over the years I have being in consulting, business technology consulting for internet related services. I progress into the UK to 7 study accounting so I'm a ACCA qualified
accountant which showcased my experience within financial services.
Later went back to technology working with the likes of Santander Bank, Lloyds Bank working on projects like Mortgage Simplification, RDR with Standard Life, KYC/Remediation on Barclays Wealth. Working in software delivery for some of the Fortune 500 companies so I've worked with very large scale businesses, complex infrastructure technology business, Microservices, Cloud
Services.
I've also worked with Government bodies on Digital Transformation projects. I worked as Automation Engineer using C# and Python development languages to create automation suites of testing programs.
I got Certificate in Mortgage Advice Practice (CeMAP) in 2008, a Diploma in Financial Advice (DipFA) in 2017 and Certificate in Equity Release (CeRER) in 2019. In the last five years, I followed my passion full-time and gained experience as a Financial Services Professional, specifically working as a Mortgage Adviser & Financial Planner. I have experienced big Fortune 500 and small-sized companies, which has giving me the opportunity to understand the pain points, because I have gone through the pain points personally and as a consultant within the financial service.
There have been many BIG developments in our lifetime, but none have made quite an impact like the Artificial Intelligence. Whether it be the speed at which mobile phones turned into smartphones or the growth, tech advances, and market dominance of Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple, so at every point, there is something new popping up that companies need to integrate or implement on their system so that's one of the key reasons as a business technology solution provider, consulting for businesses looking at the solutions and working within the team to provide a tailored solution to their requirements.
Based on my technology background, I've been very interested in adding value to the Financial Services sector, hence, I've been working in different shape and forms with artificial intelligence for couple of years now, even before it's become very popular by the introduction of Chat GPT. Bringing my over 20 years of experience together and my research on AI, this is brought me to a point where I can see specific pain points and proffer the technology solution that is well aligned to the size of the organisations processes, operations and the technology infrastructure.
Personally, my initial goal is just to make my life a lot easier and make things work better, to automate some of the things that are repeated task, which are quite a lot within the financial services sector.
One of the key reasons for this book is to give you an introduction into the world of Artificial Intelligence and what you could do with the technology. We've got a lot of use cases because I've been studying a lot of companies case studies and I have extracted key pointers from what they are doing.
Artificial Intelligence is in early stages, there is an important 'First Movers Advantage' dimension, so it's a question of when do you want to get yourself involved? I will say the sooner the better, so that you can understand all of the terminologies, solutions and carve out a lead over your competitors.
We've been testing things, working on solutions, some have not worked well enough but all of that experience have shaped up our view of the potential inherent in adopting AI, now we have some ready-made solutions for people that in financial services.
More importantly, we have a digital agency that focuses on creating custom solutions. It's very difficult to find a one solution fits all, as there are many different systems, integration requirements, APIs, organisation’s structure, operations and processed. While we've got some ready made easy to implement, easy to integrate solutions, our target is given ourselves the challenge to create custom solutions. As part of my team I've been able to put together competent people that have been trained engineers, robotic process automation specialists, senior marketers, and social media solution providers, bringing all of these experience together to find the right solution for small businesses because I believe when we can solve a solution for one
it's makes a big impact on other small businesses and more importantly, a big impact on the economy because there are millions of small businesses worldwide which forms the backbone of any economy.

This is a really big change, I have worked on a lot of changes, I've worked on so many concepts Microservices, Application Progamming Interface (API), Domain Driven services, Cloud engineering infrastructure DevOps there is always a something happening within the tech space. I want to say there is not any of those changes combined that measure up to the magnitude of impact AI is set to make, AI is going to change individual lives, AI is going to change the business life, AI is going to change what we can achieve.
Far more important, almost anyone can utilise AI without learning to be a developer or other technical skills set. AI is creating a levelling ground, democratising technology solution for people that have never been able to get tech solutions, they are now able to leverage a lot more technology.
